WHAT ARE ELECTRONICS?

When designing, building, and using devices that manipulate electrons and other charged particles, electronics is a scientific and engineering discipline that examines and implements the laws of physics. The focus of electronics, a branch of electrical engineering, is on using active components like transistors, diodes, and integrated circuits to control, amplify, and change the form of electric current, such as from alternating current (AC) to direct current (DC) or from analog to digital.[1] Microelectronics, nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, and quantum electronics are subfields of electronics that deal with the creation and use of electrical devices at microscopic, nanoscopic, optical, and quantum scales, respectively.
