Animal flesh consumed as food is known as meat. Since the beginning of time, people have hunted, farmed, and scavenged animals for food. Chickens, sheep, bunnies, pigs, and cattle could all be domesticated thanks to the Neolithic Revolution’s settlement-building. This ultimately led to their usage in industrial-scale meat processing in slaughterhouses.

The major ingredients of meat are water, protein, and fat. Although it can be eaten raw, it is more commonly consumed after being cooked, seasoned, or processed in a number of ways. Unprocessed meat will decay or decompose within hours or days due to bacterial and fungal infestation and decomposition.
